About Us

DSC_0309cOur philosophy is to provide a safe, caring, loving, fun environment where each child can develop to their full potential, emotionally, academically, physically, and mentally.

We strive to create an atmosphere of deep mutual respect between faculty and students. We are very proud of our internationally diverse faculty and student body. We offer a customized, flexible education in early childhood, that allows each child to develop according to his own pace. Students are guided in the creation of educational projects, leadership and character development.

Vision, Principles, and Learning Goals

Our current curriculum aligns with the Ministry of Education’s Early Learning Framework Vision, Principles and Learning Goals. It consists of the following vision, principles and learning goals:

DSC_0278cThrough the program, the children will develop emotionally, socially, intellectually and spiritually through the variety of experience I will provide in a warm and nurturing environment. The children will become self-confident, socially responsible, explorative and creative individuals. They will feel comfortable and secure in their own cultural identities.

The first six years of a child’s life is when they absorb the most information. Therefore, it is vital to provide them with a solid foundation and support system that will both stimulate their learning ability and prepare them for future learning. This support system will build their confidence to allow them to more easily take on future learning challenges. Each child develops and learns at their own pace; therefore, it is important to cater to their individual needs and strengths.

Play is a major aspect of learning; therefore, it is important to incorporate it in all early childhood learning centers. It is desirable to have children learn to play on their own and in groups in order to develop different social skills.

All areas of development are interdependent on each other. In order for a child to grow intellectually, they must also grow socially, emotionally and physically.

Language is the most important aspect to child development. It gives children the ability to think and express their thoughts and feelings through communication.Encouragement of all language forms including oral, signs and symbols and written language should be entrenched into all learning centers. Native language development along with English and French should also be supported.Multicultural celebrations should be incorporated into learning centers to acknowledge diverse cultural backgrounds. Early learning centers should respect all the different ethnic backgrounds and diverse cultures. Children should be encouraged to respect all differences in gender, age, language, ethnicity, family structure, and economic circumstances.
